I live in San Mateo, CA and I LOVE this hotel. It is really small but has a very clean and modern feel that I am so happy with.
If you’re looking for a great way to spend a weekend, San Mateo is a great place to go. The hotel is only a 5 minute drive from downtown and the beach is less than a mile.

I think the whole ‘casual, relaxed feel’ is a bit of a misnomer. The beach does have a certain, well, relaxed feel to it, but the hotel is actually very casual. I mean, there’s a pool, but it’s the sort of pool you would find in a spa. The beach is more relaxing than anything in San Mateo, and the hotel is about a 5 minute drive from the downtown core.
The hotel is also one of the most expensive in San Mateo, so it has a certain charm and a certain “san tep” style. It’s pretty easy to spot, though, just by the ocean.
And the beach area is a bit of a drag. It really doesn’t have the beachy factor you’d expect from a resort in the middle of town. Instead of sandy beach you have a very gray, rocky beach area with very flat, rocky shoreline.
The resort is called the San Mateo Beach Club, and just like any other club in California, they have their own clothing store. It’s called the San Mateo Beach Club Fashion Island. I think the first thing you see when you enter the store is a pair of shorts with a matching tank top, and then you see those shorts and the tank top come together and you really feel like you have the whole outfit.
The clothes on the runway are a combination of high fashion and beach wear, so it’s not exactly what you’d think of when you think of a San Diego resort. Still, it’s definitely not your average resort. There are lots of nice touches like the pool, beach and beach club, and spa. They also have an indoor pool and a spa-like area for guests.
The only thing you would expect from San Mateo is the beach and the pool and the spa. I just wish the clothes looked more like what youd expect when you think of San Diego.
